Whale Watching Season on the Garden Route runs from August – November each year with regular sightings of Southern Right and Humpback Whales. Both species travel to South African waters for their breeding season at this time of the year.

On Oyster
The only seaside property in our collection, On Oyster is perfectly positioned between Cape Town and Knysna, 30-minutes south of Mossel Bay.
With stunning coastal views, guests at On Oyster are often able to spot whales from the patio, while sipping on their morning coffee or while sitting around the outdoor firepit at sunset.
On Oyster is a 7-suite villa accommodating up to 14 guests in complete seclusion. There are five large and two smaller ensuite bedrooms – three downstairs and two upstairs, each with their own sliding doors leading onto the patio and roof terrace, overlooking the sea. The two smaller suites are en-suite with single beds.
Villa facilities include two large outdoor areas – one ground level patio and a rooftop terrace – a heated swimming pool, a steam room, a heated jacuzzi, a children’s playroom with TV and DSTV, a firepit on the front lawn overlooking the ocean and a fully equipped kitchen.
